Vivo has recently launched its two new Smartphones Vivo X9S and X9S Plus in China. The specifications of both the phones are really good. The main highlights of these phones are their Dual Selfie Cameras. Both the phones come with 16 Megapixels rear camera and for taking selfies, there are two cameras – the first one is of 20 Megapixels for normal photography and the other one is of 5 MP for Depth Sensing or Depth Capturing. So Let’s see what exactly Vivo Dual Front Camera Depth Sensing Technology is and how it works?

What is Dual Front Camera Depth Sensing Technology?

You might have noticed that when you click photos in some crowded place, it doesn’t matter how well you have adjusted the focus and applied the zoom, you didn’t get the right image. Your photos also miss the desired clarity many times. The same thing happens with budget range selfie phones that when you take group selfie that we usually call groufie, the camera can’t apply the same level of brightness, contrast, focus and sharpness on everyone’s face and so the person standing on the back misses the focus on his face.

The Major reason behind these problems is our smartphone’s camera can’t sense or measure the depth of image and so it can’t decide where to keep focus and where not. Earlier, we could find Depth Sensing Technology only in high-end cameras. Now, smartphone manufacturers started to implement this technology in their phones. The smartphones like Vivo X9S and X9S Plus where we see this technology comes with an additional camera which is actually an Infrared camera.

This infrared camera emits infrared rays which are invisible to human eyes but the camera can see and through them, it easily calculate the distance of every object in the surrounding. When the camera knows the distance of every object, it can easily keep the focus on the subject and blur the background and thus enhancing the clarity of the image.
