While there are several months to go before the 2022 iPhone 14 models launch, we already have some of the most prominent rumors at our hand. According to analyst JeffPu, in a research note with Haitong International Securities, all the iPhone 14 models will arrive with ProMotion displays backed by a 120 Hz variable refresh rate.
Compared to only last year’s Pro Models, this time around all the four models would get the same display. While Pu previously quoted on the iPhone 14 Pros’ getting 8GB of RAM, that won’t be happening any time soon. After a vigorous supply chain check, all four models will be equipped with 6GB of RAM, bringing down the overall cost.
In other words, the 6GB RAM is going to be the new standard for all models of the iPhone 14. Going in line with the Taiwanese research firm TrendForce and analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the Pro Models might also get an upgraded 48MP primary shooter.
More Rumors Along the Way
Apart from the most anticipated 120Hz display and 6GB RAM, the iPhone 14 models are going to be packed with some other interesting changes as well.
1. Titanium
Yes, you read that right! The upcoming Apple iPhone 14 models will come with high-end Titanium-alloy chassis. This comes directly from investors’ reports from JP Morgan Chase. While Apple has already used Titanium for their watches, this is nothing unimaginable to be used on their smartphones.
Not only Titanium is more scratch and corrosion-resistant, but at the same time, it is way stronger than aluminum or steel.
2. Lightening Port
The rumors about Apple discarding the Lightning port from their smartphone have been around for quite some time now. While creating a port less design, the MagSafe would be responsible for charging. But, it is still not clear whether the 2022 iPhones will have a port less design.
3. Superior Cooling
From 2022 higher-end iPhones, Apple is most likely to adopt using a vapor chamber thermal cooling. Apple is rumored to ‘aggressively testing’ them, which would be used to keep up with the heat dissipation from stronger computing power and faster 5G connectivity.
The Bottom Line
Bear in mind, JeffPu has quite a less-established track record when it comes to Apple rumors. So, it would be a wise decision not to get our hopes high, until some of the other prominent analysts like Kuo confirm through their sources.
