This smartphone is a successor of last year’s Mate 10 Lite and comes with 19:5:9 notched display, dual front and rear camera and some AI oriented features. The display has 409 PPI which is enough to provide good brightness and colours while watching videos or playing games. Following the trend, the company has also given a notch above the display.
Talking about the competitor, OnePlus 6 sports a 6.28-inches Optic AMOLED Full HD+ (1080 x 2280 pixels) display with a 19:9 aspect ratio and 402 PPI. This is the biggest display OnePlus phones have ever had. The screen-to-body ratio is 83.8 percent which is comparable to 81.7 percent in Huawei Mate 20.

OnePlus 6 and Huawei Mate 20 Lite are no doubt packed with powerful hardware. The Mate 20 Lite comes with company’s own HiSilicon Kirin 710 chipset. It can provide clock speed up to 2.2GHz. It’s an octa-core processor whose cores are built on Cortex-A53 architecture. Kirin 710 is integrated with Mali G51-MP4 GPU. The processor is coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage which can be expanded up to 512GB using a MicroSD card.
OnePlus 6 is packed with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 processor which can provide clock speed up to 2.8GHz. It’s an octa-core processor whose 4 cores are based on Qualcomm’s own Kyro 385 Gold Architecture and another 4 cores are based on Kyro-385 Silver. For those who are unaware, Kyro is a series of chip architectures owned by Qualcomm.

According to XDA Developers, Kyro 385 provides 30% better performance than its predecessors. The Snapdragon 845 is integrated with Adreno 630 GPU. It is also known to provide amazing performance while playing games or watching videos without wasting the battery too much. The processor is coupled with 6/8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64/128/256 GB of inbuilt storage.
Though both the phones are capable of handling heavy tasks quite well, OnePlus 6 is more powerful and promising than Huawei Mate 20 Lite.

Talking about the camera section, the Huawei Mate 20 Lite comes with dual rear and front cameras. On the rear, there is one 20-Megapixel primary and a 2-Megapixel depth-sensing secondary camera with f/1.8 aperture and PDAF support. For selfie and video calling, there is one 24-megapixel and a 2-megapixel depth-sensing camera with f/2.0 aperture and fixed focus.
On the other hand, OnePlus 6 features dual rear cameras with a 12-Megapixel Sony IMX519 sensor and a 20-Megapixel Sony IM376K sensor. The 12MP sensor has an aperture of f/1.7 with 1.22µm sized bigger pixels. It also has Gyro-EIS (Electronic Image Stabilization) and OIS (Optical Image Stabilization). Talking about the 20MP secondary sensor, it also has an aperture of f/1.7 and comes with PDAF (Phase detection Auto-Focus) support. Huawei Mate 20 Lite runs on Android 8.0 Oreo-based EMUI 8.1. It houses a 3750 mAH battery which supports 9V/2A (18W) charging capabilities. Talking about the other, OnePlus 6 runs an Android 8.1 Oreo-based Oxygen OS 5.1 which is nearly stock Android. OnePlus has also guaranteed Android P update soon. It houses 3,300 mAH battery with 5V 4A 20W Dash Charging support.
For the security of the phone, OnePlus has given Face unlock and fingerprint support to its latest flagship whereas we only know about the fingerprint sensor of the Huawei Mate 20 Lite till now. The OnePlus 6 now starts at Rs 34,999 for the 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. You can buy this phone on exclusively on Amazon. The phone is available in three awesome colour variants – Midnight Black, Silk White, and Mirror Black. There is also one Marvel Avengers Limited Edition variant with an 8GB RAM and 256 GB storage priced at Rs 44,999.
Huawei Mate 20 Lite is priced at GBP 379 (Rs. 34,800 INR approx) and will be available across Carphone Warehouse and Vodafone retail stores in the US starting September 5. The Mate 20 comes in three color variant – Black, Platinum Red, and Sapphire Blue.
