The Mobile World Congress (MWC) is one of the biggest trade shows where companies throughout the world showcase their innovative smartphones. This year around, the MWC is going to host in the Barcelona starting from 28th February to 3rd March.
Keeping track of all the major brands attending the conference, this year’s MWC is going to be a massive event. In this article, we have curated a list of some of the prominent brands and their potential smartphone launches scheduled for MWC 2022.
Everything to Expect Out of MWC 2022
Even with MWC just around the corner, there hasn’t been any prominent news on what each brand has up its sleeve. Curating all the rumors and speculations, here’s our list of what you might from each of these companies:
1. Samsung
Taking about the Big Bull around the house, Samsung is going to put more emphasis on the overall connected experience. As we know, Samsung is going to drop the latest iteration of their smartphone OS running on the Galaxy Watch 4.
Since Samsung has already launched their S22 lineup ahead of the MWC. There is hardly going to be any more hardware during this time. Although, Samsung is supposedly working with Intel on making their ecosystem a more seamless experience. Here’s what Samsung could unveil at MWC this year.
2. Sony
Sony has made its stand on not having a physical presence at MWC 2022. Sony is looking forward to creating an online presence, supporting digitalization. Although there are still chances of Sony unveiling their latest flagship, supposedly the Sony Xperia1 IV. Given Sony’s notorious habit of absurd naming scheme, chances are there might be a completely new device altogether.
3. Nokia
HMD Global under the brand name of Nokia was surely the spotlight for MWC 2019 (the last biggest event). But the launch of Nokia 9 PureView was the last biggest flagship launch by the company. So there is a possibility for Nokia to unveil the long-awaited Nokia 10 for MWC 2022.
4. Realme
Realme as a brand has gained quite a popularity over the past few years. And Realme has some unique offerings for MWC 2022. Apart from launching the Realme GT 2 and Realme GT 2 Pro series of smartphones.
Not to mention, they are first in line, unveiling their products on 28th February. Although they are already announced in China, we are just waiting for the global pricing. Furthermore, Realme is also on their latest generation of fast chargers.

5. Huawei
Although Huawei has lost their charm in the global market, they are still a force to be reckoned with. Certainly, there isn’t going to be a Huawei P60. But there is a probability for their latest foldable. After unveiling the Huawei Mate X back in MWC 2019, we can certainly expect the Huawei Mate X3.
6. Oppo and OnePlus
After the great merger, it’s worth keeping both the brands under the same. The only reason OnePlus is added to the list is due to its long-waited OnePlus 10 series global launch. Apart from that, OnePlus never had much of a presence in MWC over the years.
There isn’t much anticipation from Oppo as well. At best, we can expect the Oppo Find X at MWC 2022. Although in the past, Oppo has showcased some awesome camera technology.
7. Xiaomi
Xiaomi has created a major presence, dominating the Asian markets for quite some time now. So, this time around, we can potentially see the global launch of Xiaomi 12 at MWC 2022. Not to mention, with Xiaomi launching smartphones at large, there can be smartphones from their Redmi and Poco lineups.
Everything Else at MWC 2022
Although these were the list of some of the major smartphone brands worldwide, there are still more to consider as well. Lenovo for starters has chosen not to be physically present at the event. The same is applicable to Motorola, as Lenovo owns its smartphone brand.
Other smartphone companies such as TCL, Vivo, ZTE, and Alcatel could announce their latest offering as well. So hold on to your seat belts, MWC 2022 is going to be a bumpy ride.
