MIUI 13: Latest Features and Performance Improvements

MIUI 13 is going to bring a lot to the table over their previous release of MIUI 12.5. According to Xiaomi, the latest version of MIUI is going to offer better app fluency along with 15% lesser dropped frames for 3rd party applications. 

The native Xiaomi apps are going to run faster with 23% lesser dropped frames as well. Here’s a curated list of all the new features and performance improvements in MIUI 13. 

1. Liquid Storage

Introducing a new way of managing files at the system level, Xiaomi is calling it Liquid Storage. Not only does it improve efficiency but also reduces fragmentation while actively managing stored data. Xiaomi 

The company is claiming that there is a boost of 60% in reading and write efficiency. 

2. Atomised Memory

Improving the RAM efficiency, this new memory management system can categorize every app’s RAM usage into important and unimportant sections. Closing the unimportant one can drastically improve the RAM performance at any given point. 

3. Smart Balance

Smart Balance is what every light to moderate user need on their smartphone. 

In order to extend the battery life, MIUI can find the perfect balance between performance and power consumption your Xiaomi device needs to extend the battery life. 

4. Sidebar

For all the heavy users and rapid multitaskers, Sidebar can save you a few seconds here and there. Even while using an application, users can summon the sidebar and switch over to another one without going back to the home screen. Users can add up to 10 apps to Sidebar

Rollout Schedule for MIUI 13

Xiaomi is looking forward to rolling out MIUI 13 for the first batch of devices by the end of January 2022. Not to mention, this includes Xiaomi 12, 12 Pro, and 12X along with the 11 series as well.
