The Chinese player Vivo launched Vivo Z1i with some interesting new updates. The Vivo Z1i comes with an 90 percent screen-to-body ratio display which looks amazing if you compare on terms of its design. Vivo Z1i appears  as a cheaper version of Vivo Z1. Vivo has also took care of the performance by giving latest Snapdragon 636 and 4GB RAM. So, let’s have a look at the design, specifications, price and availability of this smartphone. Vivo Z1i sports a 6.26-inch Full HD+ (1080 x 2280 pixels) IPS display with 19:9 aspect ratio. The display has 90 percent screen-to-body ratio with a notch at the top. but fortunately, the notch is really thin and won’t hide the screen much. There is a fingerprint sensor at the back. The handset measures 154.81 x 75.03 x 7.89 mm and looks great with negligible bezels.

Hardware:

The dual-SIM Vivo Z1i comes with Snapdragon 636 chipset which is an octa-core processor and clocked at 1.8GHz. The processor comes with Adreno 509 and coupled with 4GB of RAM. The phone has 128GB inbuilt-storage which can be expanded up to 256GB via microSD card. The hardware is enough to provide smooth performance in your day-to-day activity. The smartphone can even run basic to medium level games without any lag or frame-drop. Vivo Z1i can also play high-end graphics game but the phone could lag if your phone is lack of available RAM or internal storage.

The Vivo Z1i has a dual camera setup which includes 13-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel secondary camera. The dual cameras are coupled with LED flash. For selfies, there is a 16-megapixel front camera with Face wake feature. The phone also includes artificial intelligence (AI) backed smart beauty features.

Battery & Other Features:

The Vivo Z1i runs on Android 8.1 Oreo-based Funtouch OS 4.0 and comes with 3260 mAH battery.  Vivo has also offered its Jovi AI Assistant and a Face Wake feature which is actually a branding name for Face Unlock. Also, the handset brings AR stickers and a dedicated game mode. There is also a fingerprint sensor at the back of this phone. Vivo Z1i has 4G VoLTE, Wi-FI 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Vivo Z1i Price in India & Availability

The Vivo Z1i has currently launched in China at a price of CNY 1,898 (Rs. 19,600 approx). The phone will be available via Vivo online store and will go on sale in the country on July 7. It will be available in Black Gold and Hyun Red colour options.

Is Vivo Z1i Worth the Price?

As there is no confirmation of its price in India, but if Vivo will launch this phone at this price, then Vivo Z1i is definitely not worth the price. The same processor and RAM are available in Redmi Note 5 Pro or even in Asus Zenfone Max Pro (M1) which is priced at just Rs 13,999. Looking at cameras, the Redmi Note 5 again wins the battle by its dual camera setup and 20 Megapixel front camera. It even has a huge 4000mAH battery. So, the rest is in your hand. If you want a phone but don’t want to wait for flash sales, you can also go for Vivo Z1i.
